Flaxcomp® is a know-how on the transformation of high performance biocomposite entirely biosourced and 100% biodegradable composed of flax fiber and natural resin based on corn starch.
The latest know-how for the transformation of bioplastics designed by DEMGY is based on an alloy of woven flax fibers and corn starch-based resin.
Cultivated by farmers of the Normandy cooperative Terre de Lin, this natural fiber used by DEMGY is the result of a reasoned culture and a local know-how.
This makes Flaxcomp® a 100% Made in France know-how!
The origin
Flaxcomp® was born from a partnership with the Terre de Lin cooperativ to design the first 100% recyclable bio-composite made from flax fibres and corn starch.
Manufacturing
Harvested, extracted, combed and woven flax fibres are added to a resin made from corn starch and a co-mingled flax to strengthen it.
Applications
Easy to work and shape, Flaxcomp® offers a wide range of transformation possibilities to produce parts for the following sectors: aeronautical, automotive, marine, sports equipment, interior design products and more. Imagine it and we will create it!
